Theme looks good but I am unable to find any plug-ins as mentioned above

You also can find these plug-ins in AdsTheme.zip file

I am currently dowloading each one of them but one plugin is nearly 3 years old.

Yes, must change the adsense id. Beside that, you need to change the following:-

1. Links of banner
2. Link of Full RSS Blog Feed
3. Link of Get Update by Email
4. Link of Technorati
5. mybloglog id

I fixed the issue. I’ve another question.

There is no feed.php file inside the themes zip file. So when I added the URL to feedburner it says no feed found. Can you please clarify this?

No. All the things that you want to make changes are in sidebar.php. Did you see the following code in sidebar.php?

what you do is replace “http://feeds.feedburner.com/AdsTheme” to your feed address.

This theme is without widget support because I don’t know how to add widget. You have to know a little bit of CSS to amend the sidebar by opening sidebar.php.

Hi Surya, thanks for your comment. It is hard to tell and not easy to modify because once you modify this part, the related part like the grey background on the sidebar will be affected.

Never mind, I have planning to modify this theme by next week after my exam, the problem that you have faced I will take consideration on the modification. Be sure you check back later. Thanks for your patience.

hi first of all i like ad theme v.much, i just download ad theme, i got the one prob. that i am using video player plugin in my wordpress its works fine with original & some other theme but i can’t see flash player in ad theme can you tell me why its not loaded? thanks in advance

i had problems when i install it. I got message like this when i activated the themes :

I think many bloggers don’t have problem for the theme installation. I suggest you upgrade your wordpress to the latest version of 2.3.3. Let me know if you still have problem.

Hi Eric, your theme is great. I’ve made some modifications to fonts and colors to suit my needs. The one issue I’m facing is I see no comments block below the article on the single page. There is just a lot of empty white space below the article. Have you come across this problem? I tried looking through the PHP files to see if something was commented out. No luck. I have not launched my site yet and would prefer to email you the URL directly so I can track traffic more accurately when I do fully launch the site. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!

Absolutely Eric…well at at least as far as I know, Im kinda new to word press. I learn fast but…there is so much and I keep getting hung up on what seems like stupid little things….like …for example before I stated this reply I was in the read me of your theme…and I came across

now I find my self saying what the heck is a mybloglog code and ill spend another hour or so if im lucky…learning bout that..I mean it could be 2009 by the time I catch up!!!

Just open wp-config.php, you will see

define(’DB_NAME’, ‘database_name’);
define(’DB_USER’, ‘user_name’);

Change the database_name and user_name to your old database, that’s all

Mike, you have to create an account from MyBlogLog.com and then create a widget of MyBlogLog. After created the widget, you will ask to copy and paste the code to your blog, from the code you will your own MyBlogLog account ID.

Just copy the MyBlogLog account ID and replace it in sidebar.php.

I created an account last nite…took me to yahoo and all, I replaced the number(id), now I pasted the entire widget code there. where line 51 is….

Yes, MyBlogLog can helps to generate some traffic to our blog, you can build up your community from there; make friends and many more. Try to active in MyBlogLog and make many friends from there, it will help in term of your traffic building.

As for the RSS and Email Subscription, please register feedburner.com first and then burn a feed. After the feed is burned, then you should able to find the url to replace. If you get blur then can ask me later.

I have never try to use easypaypal plugin, i think it shouldn’t be a problem when apply to my theme. Anyway, you can try!

replace favicon-adstheme.ico to your favicon file name. That’s all.

P/S: your favicon must be stored under images folder

Eric, need a bit help.

How I can able to change the location of tags? I found that, the tags are available just with Post Titles below. But, It’s also moving and looks odd too (for me)

But, I want that, the “All Tags” will be visible below of the full published post’s contents.

Hello Eric - Thanks for the theme! I am having problems with the ‘about’, ‘archives’, and ‘contact’ pages. When I click on them, I get the following error message -

Not Found

The requested URL /about/ was not found on this server.

I am not sure if I deleted something by accident or if I am missing something in the setup. I downloaded the theme again and still had the same issue. Any help would be great!

You have to go to Wordpress and create page and name it as “about”, archives”, then you should be able to find the file.

I’m not sure what error you get because you didn’t tell clearly. I ask you some questions as below to verify.

1. Have you upload and active smart archieve plugin?
2. Have you upload page-archive.php (this file can be found at the download folder)?

If the above 2 points are done, please follow the following steps.

1. Write new page, select page template “page-archieve”
2. Give a page name like “Smart Archive”, don’t use “archives” or “archive” as title name, it might not work.

That’s all about the steps.

Wordpress 2.5 is still in the development and testing stage but it has opened for download now. Anyway, I didn’t use wordpress 2.5 now because it is not yet officially released on their site. I also not sure when is the final version of wordpress 2.5.

If the Ads theme cannot be supported by Wordpress 2.5, I will find out the solution to get my theme works.

Hello Eric - I have another question for you on your theme. I am trying to change the color combinations of the theme to fit with a “wine” theme for my blog. I have most of the colors set but can’t find where to change the bottom right of the page from gray. It does not appear to be part of the sidebar as I have been able to change the background color there. Do you mind taking a look?

Some of the plugins are not compatible with WP 2.5 when I try to activate them I get a fatal error. Am I missing something for the plugins? I’m downloading them separately from the authors sites you have listed.

Yes, go to Plugin after login your wordpress and deactive it, and then remove the coding from your sidebar.

I am complete novice at blogging and themes. i would like to customize the theme to better suit my site and blog. I had a look in the design/theme editor area and get confused with all the scripts.

Carlo, I wish it was that easy but modifying a theme, any theme , is a bit in-depth subject and I couldn’t explain it very easy without graphics or even a video. Perhaps I will try to retrace my steps and create a post about it on my WordPress Guides site some time soon. But all themes are coded differently.

Was hunting for adsense themes, and this one is el perfecto, so simple and elegant. Kudos!

Just wondering if able to add a 300×250 banner top of side bar and a 468×60 on top of first post. Similar to your Preview page.

1. Open Style.css, add the following code
