I can’t imagine why you would allow anyone into that portion of your site in any case.

Couldn’t agree with you more . . . there is NO reason to have that on the top. That said, HOW does one remove it. I can’t find the source code to kill it.

Or make a shortcut in your bookmarks. Yes I see no point in leaving the meta in your sidebar. It’s a waste of valuable real estate and to most readers, it’s Greek.

On one hand, I agree with you on some sites. However, there are some sites where having a modified version of the Meta widget is helpful. Particularly on community sites, if you have not already integrated a login form. Still, I agree that you should remove any links that are not absolutely necessary.
