Google Banned WidgetBucks.com but Yahoo Don’t

Google has banned WidgetBucks.com from the site appearing in the search result recently and most probably due to the hidden text links. If you type “WidgetBuck.com” on Google and trying to search, you won’t see its official site on the first page of Google, even on the following pages. But if you go to Yahoo and search, there will be showing the result. Obviously you can see that Google banned WidgetBucks.com, but Yahoo don’t.

WidgetBucks.com Violated Big G’s Guideline on Hidden Text and Links

There is no official word from Google yet but it looks like WidgetBucks.com violated Big G’s guideline on hidden text and links.

If your site is perceived to contain hidden text and links that are deceptive in intent, your site may be removed from the Google index, and will not appear in search results pages. When evaluating your site to see if it includes hidden text or links, look for anything that’s not easily viewable by visitors of your site. Are any text or links there solely for search engines rather than visitors?

Disable JavaScript from Your Browser, WidgetBucks Advertisement will be Disappeared

When you disable the JavaScript from your browser, and refresh the page again, you will see the WidgetsBucks advertisement will be disappeared. The presence of a hidden text links using the Flash animation is a violation of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines.

I just discover a recent launched site called UserInterfaceIcons.com, they provide high quality free icons that are better than paid one, which means that you do not need to pay any cent for downloading.

The following is the icon sizes and format

Icons come in 4 sizes; 80 by 80 pixels, 48 by 48 pixels, 32 by 32 pixels, and 24 by 24 pixels.

I have visited a blog called BooksLoveMe.com and she is using the nice WordPress Theme called Spin Me. I quickly scroll down the most bottom of the page to find the link of this wordpress. Yeah! I got it. Spin Me is designed Geek Goddess Design.

This is two column WordPress theme and it is free to download. I personally think that this is really nice and neat WordPress theme, their WordPress design is simple but it looks beautiful. I like it!

JohnCow.com is Hacked?!

The cow is hacked?! JohnCow.com is one of my favorite blog that I will visit everyday. When I enter to his blog just now, you will see there is one big picture with the following texts.

This blog is hacked! If we do not receive $100 in 24 hours, the cow will gets well done.

I’m not sure that this blog is really hacked by somebody, what do you think?

Although I’m graduated from Information Technology course, but I have spent few hours to understand and learn the WordPress installation in order to create my own domain blog. In fact it is pretty simple and easy to setup WordPress in your hosting, the following steps are showing you how.

How To Create Database And User Before Installing WordPress?

Before upload WordPress to your hosting, you need to create the database to store the data. I assumed your website’s URL is http://www.domain.com.

Login to your hosting control panel (http://www.domain.com/cpanel)
Click on MySQL Database
Create New Database (For example: wordpress)
Create New User and key in password (For example: blogger)
Finally, add the user to the database. Choose the database and user name from the combo box and click “Submit” button. That’s all.

Download the latest version of WordPress at wordpress.org.
Extract the zip file.
Open file called wp-config-sample.php
Change the database name (domain-user_wordpress), user name (domain-user_blogger) and password (1234).
Save and close this file, and then rename the files to wp-config.php
Finally, upload to your hosting directory under public_html

Remove META from Your Sidebar, Don’t Keep It
