I’m quite regretted now because I didn’t enter to local University to further my study last time although I have that opportunity, otherwise I’m a degree holder student now. After graduated from secondary school, I and some of my friends decided to take a diploma course from private college, and the course that we selected is Information Technology. After completed the diploma, I have no money to further my degree, that’s why I forced to work as full time employee.
After graduated from private college for the IT course, and I’m started looking for a new job related to programming. Unfortunately, most companies required graduated student from degree course in IT, so I have no choice but to work as Marketing Administration. After 5 years working, I have some saving now and decided to take a distance learning course. Right now, I’m looking for distance learning school which can offer me suitable course with competitive learning cost.
I found Kaplan Open Learning (http://kaplanopenlearning.org.uk) and they are specialist UK online higher education division. Kaplan Open Learning has been established as an affiliate college of the University of Essex and they provide university level education, offering programmes of study for students who wish to obtain a university Foundation Degree or top up that degree to an Honours Degree.
I was not interested in Information Technology course now, may be I will consider taking Business Degree Online. My friends have suggested me to take Degree in Sales and Marketing because I have working experience in this field. Anyway, my priority is business degree, but I will consider Degree in Sales and Marketing as well.
With distance learning, I can still continue to work while furthering my study according to my schedule, this is the reason why I like distance learning. Other than distance learning, I don’t think I have other way to further my degree course.
Its never too late
I think the willing to learn and get more knowledge is a perfect way of self-improvement and self-development
Yeah, it’s never too late.
And actually I’m struggling whether to go on in Form 6 or to go out to private colleges. Damn, life’s tough!
Anyway, if you’re interested in open distance learning, why don’t you give Wawasan Open University a try?
Just my 2 cents. Cheers!
