I agree that good content is important, that will make people subscribe our RSS. Honestly, to me, it is not easy to get over 60 RSS readers since I have created many blogs but most of them are unsuccessful, only this blog proved that my hard work and the successful of my blog. Be patient in creating good contents and marketing your blog at the right place will help improve the number of subscriptions. I have removed by RSS chicklet recently due to the low number of subcribers and maybe you can do the same as well. ;-) Seriously, a pledge like this will not work unless you are giving away prizes in exchange for the subscriptions (most bloggers are doing this).
