How Easy and How Hard to Gain Page Rank for Your Blog
I can tell you how easy you can get page rank 1, 2, or 3 for your blog, at the same time you will know how hard to get page rank 4 and above.
I’m not high profile blogger and just blogging for more than one year, but my experience has been helped me to complete a survey for the journey of gaining page rank for all my blogs although I’m not very sure about how google page rank algorithm works.
Yes, no body can exactly know how google page rank algorithm works because google has never make known to public officially. But, we can predict how to gain page rank although it is not 100% percent the correct way!
Why Your Blog is Still Unranked after Several Times of Google Page Rank Update
I have about 10 blogs, several of blogger blogs (blogspot) and 6 domain blogs. Firstly, let me tell you why your blog is still unranked after several times of google page rank update. I have one private and secret blogger blog which has never get linked to any other blog or website because I don’t want to let people know about this blog. After several times of google page rank update, this blog is still show unranked instead of PR0. From here I can guess blog without any linking from other blog or website will never have page rank, your blog will be always showed page rank unranked.
How Easy Your Blog Can Get Page Rank 1, 2, or 3
I have several blogs with less than 10 linking from other blogs with page rank 1,2, or 3, so these blog have gained PR1 and PR2 after page rank is updated. That’s so easy to get PR1 or PR2, so don’t waste your money to buy domain name with PR1, 2, or 3 with high price. Be patience to wait for google page rank update, I believe that you can get PR1 easily without putting your hard work to build the link.
What about PR3 blog, how to gain PR3 for your blog, I’m not sure how many linking that you need if your blog want to gain PR3. Most probably more than 10 linking is better, the most important is that try to exchange your blog link with PR3 blog which relevant to your blog topic.
How Hard to Get Page Rank 4 and above.
Definitely very difficult if you have never putting effort to build your link! I read many blogs every day, I have checked their page rank for every blog that I read, I wonder how they can get PR4 and above.
I found that blogs with page rank 4 and over most probably received many reviews with link from other blogs. Of course these blogs get reviewed for free because they write good contents. CONTENT IS KING! If people love your content, they will link your blog or blog post automatically.
Some blogs create free and premium theme for people to download and then get the credit from people who use their free and premium theme. At the bottom of the free or premium theme, most of the times you can see the blog or website link from the original theme designer.
They are many other ways to gain page rank – buy link, buy review, comment dofollow blog, and etc. You heard it, right?
I’m just sharing about my experience of how to gain page rank for my blogs in this post. However, if you can share how to gain page rank for your blog, we are great to hear about it!
Correct me if I was wrong because I’m not super genius in gaining page rank for my blog!

thanks. yes, content is king, so time spent on great writing is well worth it. i’ve yet to buy links, what are your thoughts on it???

TK, buy links can help to increase page rank and good for serp as well. It is not advisable to buy sitewide link now because sitewide link could seriously damage your web presence, may be you can consider buying link within the post or buy review.

Actually gaining PR is quite easy to be honest but then what is the point? High PR does not get your blog or site to rank well in search engines or even generate any additional traffic. It is purely cosmetic and only those keen on selling links will benefit from it so to speak.

Darly, you right right! If we have high pr, then we can sell links with high price. But I heard people said normally high pr site will rank well than low or no pr site, that’s why we can see many advertisers are very keen to buy link and review and they even pay more for high pr site for the advertising purpose.

Well technically if 2 blogs are identical in backlinks and all the other serp stats… yes then the higher PR one will rank higher but no blog or site are the same right bro?
At the end of the day… traffic is KING cause if you talk about monetization, then traffic offers your more revenue channel than a PR anytime. Well thats just my 2 cents :p

I just got a PR1 for my company’s web. I did not do any SEO or web directories submit in the past two months. It may be just because of my business card. I’m a contractor in roofing and waterproofing. When I make a quote to a customer, I mention to them that they can check my job reference on my company web.
That may be the reason, my company web got PR1 because of this reference checking traffic.

Well I have a ring of sites and friends that have PR, we all link together allowing for our sites to get PR. I have a few sites that have PR 1 that without this ring would be PR 0. I know of a way to get some good pr backlinks from edu sites, but I won’t publish it because people will abuse it.

So who know the algorithm Google used to calculate the PR? I was doing same thing everyday, post article and reply comments. But i get PR1 for few months and now suddenly jumped to PR4!

I have a friend of mine who had a very bad blog but the content was all original. When the update came, google gave it a PR3. His other blog, he recycles content and is more updated frequently got none.
This should give everyone an idea.

I guess there are to many clues and queries on how G will rewards website with PR.

I never look at PR because how many visitors my sites get doesn’t seem to reflect my PR. Basically I just keep adding content and getting a few links from here and there. Blog commenting and article directories work best for me.

Agree !! Content is king !!
Do we need to link to the blog which relevant to your blog topic to get higher rank ? Because my blog have more than 40links but many blog with different topics.
After few months blogging, my PR still zero..=.=”
August 7th, 2008 at 8:45 am
Its been always my desire to have that PR0 at least. Because I do not regularly update the content of my blog. But I’ll try linking it to my other friends with PR2-PR3. I do hope it will work.

I’m in the same boat. I offer free images on my site, so I would expect more people to check it out; but I just don’t get any traffic. Since it’s a graphic design site, I have to have more pics than content; resulting in not enough keywords. Here it is if you want to help me out with a hit. Check out the freebies page for some nice royalty free high res pictures for your design needs.
