Remember my previous post “Be chary of buying expired domain name with page rank” dated 2nd February 2008? You get it, right? I have promised that I will come back with you all about the latest update of page rank for kefim.com. Yes, at that time, the page rank of kefim.com is PR3, but its page rank is zero (0) now.
I believe that many of us will be very concern about the page rank of expired domain name after they bought, we will worry our page rank lose. Do you think expired domain name will lose page rank? Honestly, I’m not sure! But, after I done this survey, at least I know the page rank of expired domain name may be cannot preserve for so long.
For those who like to look for expired domain with page rank, be chary when you buy such domain name. I don’t want you to pay high amount to get domain name with high fake page rank, end up you get PR0 after google update the page rank.

I bought a expired domain a few weeks ago and i immediatelly started a website, it has a pagerank of 6/10, i mean that’s very hight for the average site, and i found out it has 120,000 google backlinks when i try to search for certain keywords it would actually appear in the first results of my search i guess pagerank has something to do with it, even thought before i bought the domain it was inactive for a months or even years… i’m hoping i can get back some traffic so i don’t loose that pagerank
I guess its a matter of for how long its been deleted and if you can get a good wayback-copy of the content.

Drop-catching from Pool is now so abundantly saturated it baffles me that to even get a ROI for most domain purchases currently!. I feel fishing for pending deletes with a personal drop-catching script is the most affordable approach (I have had pretty good catches with snatcher.org).

I am not agree, PR not only depend on backlinks, if if have no backlinks but have good and unique content then you can get PR
PR update will not drop after PR pdate

i bought a website with pr 3 and after 29 days , It become 0 page rank
Hi i bought a PR3domain about a week ago, i set up domain privacy so Google wont find out that the domain had a new owner, i then wrote an article on the homepage and a few days later it become a PR0.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
Got to agree with neo, have to remember content is key. You can have a site with little backlinks but good content and acheive PR. I prefer it that way.
