Yes anti virus is must for everybody these days.
But everybody should use a good firewall too like Mcafee Firewall or Zonealarm.

Very nice and interesting post. Getting a virus is bad. Getting a virus that causes your computer to crash when you reboot is even worse.
For anyone silly enough to be using Macafee antivirus – check your account settings to turn off auto renewal – They have suddenly given themselves the authority to use your stored credit card details to charge your account for a renewal a month before it is due as the DEFAULT option….in other words they’re just gonna take your money unless you have actively gone in to your Macafee account settings to turn OFF auto – renewal. Personally, I think that it is exceptionally shonky business! I got an email a month ago telling me that I had the option to auto-renew…but it was so vaguely and cleverly worded that I was unaware that it was up to me to turn it off…rather than up to me to turn it ON – if I wished to choose that OPTION.
Tonight I called their customer service number….at my expense I might add…for a most unsatisfactory conversation. Macafee – don’t go near it!!!!!!
